The conservation and restoration works on the emblematic Modernist Chapel of the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Mount Tibidabo have been successfully completed. This meticulous project has enabled the recovery and consolidation of the structure’s original architectural elements, notably the complete preservation of its unique wooden joinery. Designed to evoke the interior of a ship and constructed using traditional techniques without the use of adhesives or nails, the chapel has now regained its full visual splendor, keeping the complex richness of its original forms and details intact.
The execution of these tasks was made possible by the professionalism of the firm Veta Conservació Restauració S.L., to whom the Tibidabo Temple community expresses its sincere gratitude for their technical rigor and commitment to excellence. Through their specialized work in heritage conservation, the structural stability of the materials has been ensured, halting the natural deterioration caused by the passage of time. With the completion of these works, this valuable architectural legacy is effectively protected, ensuring its historical and artistic endurance for future generations.
