On July 3, we marked the 140th anniversary of the construction of the original hermitage of Tibidabo, the beginning of what is today an iconic landmark on Barcelona’s skyline. This anniversary is the focal point of the new issue of Tibidabo magazine (number 606, corresponding to July and August).

In this new edition, the magazine features a historical study of the construction of the hermitage and its significance both then and now. Another highlight is the interview, this time with Borja Pérez, the new global coordinator of the Salesian Cooperators. Also featured is the “Guest Signature” section, with a contribution by the Salesian Manuel del Rosal, who reflects on the consistency of new expressions of religiosity among Spanish youth.

This issue continues the recent series on the Beatitudes of Jesus—the “happinesses”—led by the prestigious theologian José Román Flecha. It also includes other regular sections, such as the missionary page, news from the Salesian house at Tibidabo, and articles written by Saint John Bosco on the Sacred Heart in the Italian Salesian Bulletin.
