Mass Intentions

The sacrifice of the Eucharist is offered for all. The Church allows the faithful to more closely associate themselves with this sacrifice by entrusting a particular intention to the celebrant, who adds it to the general intentions.

Intentions

Intentions can be requested:

  • In thanksgiving for newlyweds, silver or golden wedding anniversaries.
  • For a baptism, the arrival of a child, or a birthday.
  • For a deceased person or the anniversary of their death.
  • For someone who is ill, for healing, or for a person in difficulty.
  • For a particular intention (which should not be named for discretion).

In the Eucharist, usually only the living or deceased person will be mentioned in the appropiate memento.

Donations

The Mass has no set price. From the beginning, the faithful have wished to participate in the Eucharist with offerings in kind or money. This both expresses gratitude for the prayer and helps support the priests, the maintenance of the temple, and all its activities.

When requesting a Mass intention, a donation can be freely offered. Another way to contribute is during the offertory at the Eucharist.
