Illumination
NOTICE: Given that current energy costs have decreased considerably compared to a year ago, the custom of illuminating the Temple every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and feast day has been resumed — as long as energy costs remain stable. The price per hour of ilumination remains €20.
The illumination of the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Tibidabo symbolizes the loving presence of the Sacred Heart that watches over us day and night. Over the years, the illuminated Temple has become an iconic feature of the Barcelona skyline.
Maintaining this illumination involves an economic cost, covered through voluntary donations from those who wish to keep this “presence of the Sacred Heart of Jesus” shining over the city throughout the year.
One hour of Temple illumination costs €20. You may sponsor several hours if you wish. The illumination schedule begins at 8:00 p.m.
