The solemnity of Saint John Bosco, celebrated on the last day of January, was observed with great devotion at the Salesian house of Tibidabo with a solemn Don Bosco Mass at 6 p.m. in the crypt, presided over by Joan-Lluís Playà i Morera, the Rector Major’s delegate for the Salesian Family.

A large number of people attended, and during the offerings, soprano Patrícia Sendra Bofarull performed “a cappella” Saint-Saëns’ Ave Maria.

The day before, a training session for the staff took place in the Valdocco Hall of the Salesian house.

The formation was based on the 2026 Rector Major’s Aguinaldo, “Do Whatever He Tells You”. First, the introductory video was shown, and then, individually and in groups of three, participants discussed a series of questions to reflect on and deepen their personal understanding of the video.

The event concluded with the now-traditional aperitif, during which everyone raised a glass of cava in honor of the Salesian founder.
